Calling myself Mr Gadget explains the range of items I make. I concentrate on small, handy tools which make braaing a lot easier and more fun.

I started with this enterprise after I was transferred from Saldanha to Cape Town in 1986 and found myself no longer living on the waters edge. I therefore sold my boat and fishing gear, but soon realised I needed some other pastime to fill my free time.

Having acquired a welding machine, I used my artisan skills to start making my gadgets. In 1988 I joined the Country Craft Market to start selling my braai tools and since then things have gone from strength to strength.

My gadgets make good gifts for men, as is often stated by foreign visitors, and include traditional items that are typically South African. Being a gadget man, I also accept the challenge of making custom items to the requirements of my customers.
