I make all sorts of things from old cold-drink cans. It is the metal of the can I need not the shape of the can, so the first job is to cut the tins in such a way that I can get tin ribbon, or small sheets that I can use for my products.

The flat pieces are useful for metal bags that are very fashionable now with young people and actually quite useful. The bright colours of the cans make them very attractive. I can play with the different colours to make different designs.

I use thick, heavy stitching to join the pieces together. This is not just strong, but also gives a nice style to the bags. It is hard on the fingers but the result looks good and you know it is hand made.

Other popular things I make are picture or mirror frames, and the very popular baseball caps. The look good with their many colours and designs. I also make boxes and cups that have many uses.

You can see me making my tin goods anytime you visit the market as I am always turning old tins into useful things.
