It is rewarding to be part of a market that promotes creative work of South Africans to international visitors and also provides an outlet for quality handcraft for local people too.

For my range of fabric-bags, growth-charts, wall-hangings and placemats, I enjoy using textured and printed fabrics. Then I add extra interest with subtle decorative beadwork.

For my screen-print range for children, I use colours that reflect the sunshine and contrasts of African life.

I have been involved in creative pursuits all my adult life, teaching handcrafts and making theatrical costumes for children. I now live besides the sea and from my workplace, look onto mountains. My Jack Russell sits patiently besides me but would prefer to be on the table where the action is.

Each item I make is individual and finished by hand. People enjoy returning to choose another item for a friend, or one for a different occasion.
