Having grown up in Zambia and Zimbabwe, surrounded by colour and African vibrancy, it is little wonder that my life revolves around colour and design. I had a Swiss mum who loved beautiful things and gave me my love for crystals.

I studied fashion design in Durban but now realize jewellery design is my real passion.

My jewellery is predominantly made in lead crystal, (Swarovski and other) but is often mixed with wood, glass, plastic, pearls, semi precious stones, metal and rhodium.

Fuschia is my favourite colour and when I was lucky enough to exhibit some of my pieces for a prominent couturier at the Nokia fashion week, I needed a name for my work and Fuschia seemed to be just the right choice.

I have a range of strung crystals in the 30% lead (Swarovski) and the 6% lead (not Swarovski but still lead crystal) in many different shapes and sizes.

They make the most alluring suncatchers and light up a dreary room and garden. These make great christening presents when used as mobiles for babies. As car mirror crystals, they also make driving a joy.

I also regularly send my jewellery to Dubai where my sister sells for me. I love what I do and although I have a simple classical range, I love a challenge and the ladies at Somerset West are daring and not scared to make a statement. Brides are very welcome too, as are mums of the brides.

I have been very pleased to meet the most wonderful people at craft markets over the last three years - crystals always attract lovely people.
