Faeries and Forest Folk, unique and imaginative ceramic sculptures of the little beings of the faerie and forest world Magic amulets and wands.

Our planet needs healing, and the nature spirits are trying to warn us of this, and assist nature in its battle against the stress, pollution and fast lane lifestyle of man that threatens our cosmic home. I try in my work to bring this message from the faeries and forest folk, to everyone willing to listen; and we really all should be willing to listen. Then we will receive their healing energy to mend our lives and the ailing Earth.

My journey with faeries started in my childhood. I grew up in Zimbabwe and as a child loved living in my own make-believe world. My brother and sister were too old to play with me so from the age of four, faeries were my constant companions. My mother grew flowers for the market, and I was always to be found sitting among the flowers watching the faeries. My cousin used to sit with me. I always told her to keep quiet because the faeries were there, but she later confessed she could not see the faeries at all. Yet for me they were very real.

I have been an artist since I was 11 and later in life used this self-taught ability in the commercial world when I worked as a graphic artist and ran a design studio. But the high road was not for me and the faerie folk beckoned me to return to the source of my inspiration. Once again I became immersed totally in the legend of nature spirits, and put my skills in art, sculpting and weaving of faerie stories to better use.

So started my Forest Folk venture, and the faeries and forest folk began to emerge for all to see through my sculpting work. The forest folk are less well known beings than faeries but have lived for centuries in the forests worldwide. There are beings like wizards that dwell deep in the forest near river or stream and are well known for their magical interference of the weather. They have natural insight and inborn generosity with words and incantations and can summon calm or chaos as they wish.

Since then these faerie spirits and forest folk have come to me on their own, each unique and with his or her own special characteristics. I interpret what they show and tell me into ceramic beings, replicas of my visitors. Then I breathe life into each little like figurine, and if you look hard enough you'll be able to hear them breathing or whispering in winsome tones. I believe that each being I craft will attract the exact person that is in need of that magical figure. As a final touch, I write his or her record of birth on "parchment".

I have also been shown the craft of making magic amulets and wands, and added these to my Forest Folk collection to help us ward off negativity and attract good things into our lives and those around us.

Children of all ages love my faeries and forest folk. My work attracts faerie admirers from ages nought to ninety, and there are always people visiting our stall who simply enjoy discussing their love of faeries with me. Many of my faerie and forest folk are finding their way into international collections, so their messages are being spread all over our planet.
