Just the Berries is a small family-run business, which I established in December 2001 when I received my first embroidery machine and decided to make my Christmas gifts. It was suggested that I join a craft market as numerous people wanted to purchase what I had made. So, on 23rd December my husband took the stock I had made to a craft market – and promptly sold all my gifts (friends and family were not very impressed at getting their Christmas gifts late that year).

Initially, the Just the Berries range was limited to overlays, placemats and traycloths, which displayed mainly floral designs. However, as time wore on, the range expanded to include tea-cosies, bags, bed linen and what has become Just The Berries’ flagship product - baby linen comprising quilts, pillows and bolsters, sporting a number of different children’s designs, amongst others: teddies, woodland folk, clowns and fairies.

Just the Berries also caters for those looking for something with a more indigenous feel. The placemats mainly sport South African animals, including elephants, lions and cheetahs; and local flowers such as the protea, strelitzia, and arum lily.
