My daughter Zurietha and I, produce a variety of fabric products. With our combined skills, we are able to carry the designs we conceive in our imaginations, all the way from our minds to the finished products.

Each is made and decorated in our own unique way, done from the heart to ensure the eventual owners get not just good quality, but also feels that this item was made just for her or him - and it was. We try to please both the senses of sight and touch. Nice to look at, nice to feel. Doing all our work by hand, we obviously are always in contact with the materials and become very aware of the value of form, texture and colour in good designs.

My main role in this partnership with my daughter, is to assemble the fabric parts, like the bags, the very popular baby bedding and tee shirts. Sewn by hand using my own little sewing machine, you just know I am always careful about the combination of quality, design, durability, utility and of course, value for money.

I am the other half of this team. I have worked as a professional textile artist in large organisations, but felt the desire to have more say over the design, rather than always having to conform to corporate decisions. Having started this venture with my mother, I cannot imagine returning to my previous environment.

My mother Trix, makes excellent canvasses on which I can express my art. Her design and fabric work are of the best and allow me to focus on the decorating of these items in our special style. Bags are our main line but it is as much fun for me to decorate the other things, like the tee shirts that children enjoy so much.

My primary design elements are flowers. These appear in a variety of media, especially on our bags. From design to completed product, my mother and I have to interact to bring all the elements together in the best way for both the appearance and the durability and utility of the product.

The tee shirts are hand painted using durable industrial fabric-paints. Past experience has taught me how to best ensure the designs wear well and stay fresh and vibrant.

One may well call the designs naïve, but they are done with care for line, colour and form to give them life and tantalize the imaginations. After all, good naïve art allows one to see more than is expressed in the image - the rest is contributed by you own imagination.
